SPEEDQUIZZING
HOW IT WORKS
SpeedQuizzing is an interactive live trivia game hosted from a laptop and played on smartphones or tablets. Just one smart device is needed per team, making it easy for everyone to join in.
Players participate much like they would in a traditional pen-and-paper pub quiz, but instead of writing answers down, teams use the free SpeedQuizzing app on their device while the host reads questions from the laptop.
How is SpeedQuizzing the same as a traditional pub quiz?
• A live host uses a microphone to read the questions and keep the energy high.
• Teams gather around tables, working together to answer questions.
• Professionally written quiz content keeps the game fresh, fun, and challenging.
• Hosts can also customize games by adding their own unique questions and themed content.
• Teams have a set time limit to submit answers, which keeps the pace fast and helps prevent cheating.
• Answers are submitted instantly with a simple tap on the screen—whether it’s multiple choice, first-letter answers, or other quick-response formats.
• Correct answers are revealed after each question, keeping players engaged and the excitement building.
• Scoring is handled automatically by the system, with a live leaderboard available throughout the game.
• Sound effects and game-show style presentation create a high-energy atmosphere that feels more like a live TV quiz show than a standard pub trivia night.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who Provides the Questions?
We do! Every booking includes 3 rounds of professionally written general knowledge trivia, with 20 questions per round, tailored to fit the age group and style of your audience.
Want something more personalized? No problem! We can create custom-themed rounds from our extensive question banks or even build rounds using questions you provide.
How Long Does It Take?
Our standard event runs approximately 2 hours and includes 4 rounds of 20 questions each, with short 5-minute breaks between rounds.
Need something shorter or longer? We’re flexible and can customize the format to fit your schedule, but 2 hours is usually the sweet spot for maximum fun and engagement.
What Equipment Is Needed?
Usually, nothing at all! Our system is fully self-contained.
For larger events, we may request access to a TV with HDMI input to display the live scoreboard.
We provide up to 20 tablets for team use. For events with more than 100 guests, we may ask that each team brings one smartphone or tablet with the free SpeedQuizzing app already downloaded.
Do We Have to Play in Teams?
Not at all! Players can compete solo or in teams of 2–8 people.
All you need is one smartphone or tablet per team (or individual player).
How Much Does It Cost?
Trivia is one of the most affordable and engaging entertainment options available!
Pricing depends on factors like crowd size, event length, travel distance, and setup requirements.
Best of all, trivia is often much more budget-friendly than hiring a band or DJ—while delivering just as much fun and interaction.
What Else Do You Offer?
In addition to traditional trivia, we also offer:
• Speed Bingo
• Name That Tune
• Video Trivia Rounds
• Custom Themed Trivia Nights
All of these can be included as part of your event package.
