The Uncle Sam Shootout made its return on Saturday, July 4, with 24 teams competing in the revival of the one day, 3 fish shootout.

 

Jackpine Savage Outdoors came out on top, winning the tournament with a three-fish weight of 50.32 pounds. CatPack Sportfishing finished in second place with 48.72 pounds, while Got Fish? rounded out the top three with 47.97 pounds.

 

The race for Largest Fish ended in a tie, with CatPack Sportfishing and Power Trip each weighing in a 19.05-pound king salmon.

 

Thank you to all the anglers who took part and helped bring the Uncle Sam Shootout back to life. We are already looking forward to next year, when the event will expand into two separate tournaments: one on Saturday, July 3, and another on Sunday, July 4.

 

The biggest news for 2027 is that the Uncle Sam Shootout will officially join the Lake Michigan Tournament Trail as the 12th Founders Cup event.
